These are really lovely and great ideas. I would imagine competing with devices would be very challenging. I noticed this with my own nephews and nieces. You're not alone. They did come together for movies and games, so that helps. My brother and I grew up in another time, so we always had toys or spent time outside. In fact, we were rarely home.
Absolutely - the phone / electronics are the next hurdle for my whole family. I'm proud to say I've been up for an hr. today and haven't checked my phone yet (altho I'm going to my computer to do some yoga). I think being outside in nature always changes the dynamics among my fighting kids... Did you play with your brother? I definitely want to go outside more. Electronics put a hamper on all of my hobbies! I get sucked in and forget everything else exists, and sometimes I come to my electronics with a purpose and then I completely forget why I came!

Yes, my brother and I used to play outside (Hawaiian childhood) year round with the neighborhood kids. I’m grateful for it.
