I got a remarkable tablet for Christmas. Life-changing! It can be a bullet-type journal AND a planner! You can download pdfs and write directly on them. You can make multiple custom “notebooks” that have the page templates you like to use best. Trackers, etc. It can convert your writing to text, save everything in the cloud. (I just downloaded the time tracker onto my tablet excited to discover what I’ll learn from that!) BUT there’s no wandering off into internet rabbit holes! Bc it’s not made for that!

That’s great, me too! I want to live a more proactive rather than reactive life. I love your idea of the table of contents - keep me posted if you come up with anything else!

Why the bullet journal is working for me is that the pages are numbered. You can create a Table of Contents in the front so that you don't have to keep any type of structure, just know what page something is on. Some pages, like my packing list, are evergreen though, so I do need to transfer it over to my new journal. You could photocopy it and glue it in your new one. I'm going to write mine again because some things have changed over the years. I struggle with organization too, so I feel ya!

That's so smart! A table of contents! I always appreciate hearing other people's organizational systems - thank you so much for sharing about your bullet journal. Love it!

I think many people need more help planning in general in order to deal with the stress of their daily lives and hectic schedules.

I still need help! But as a creative, spontaneous, big picture person, I find it so hard to do research in this area, even though I know I need it😅

It's my planner for appts and such, plus I track things like shows I want to watch, makeup I want to buy, restaurants I want to try and I have one page that's a permanent packing list, which has been very helpful.

That’s so smart! do you have the planner in the front and the lists in the back?

I have so many lists on sticky notes and scraps of paper, I’m not sure where they should go. I think my planning 3 ring binder may be too big and not fun enough… I do have a bullet journal somewhere in the house, I should find it! Organization is such a struggle for me.

I will have to check some of these out, they sound great! I started bullet journaling some time ago and it works for me. That way if I take a break (fall off the wagon with organizing) my planner doesn't go to waste. I can easily pick up where I left off and change different ways to track to see what works best. I also like that I can get artistic if I want and use doodles, stamps or stickers. I end up also using it as a sort of scrapbook for places I've been.

That's great! Yes, all of these have been game changers for me. I thought the happiness / time tracking exercise was very eye opening. What do you record in your bullet journal? I've always wanted to try that but don't feel super creative to fill one out! I have been wanting to do more doodling lately though :)
