Yeah, the system in general needs to be reformed, such that people earn more, while having to work less hours each week. This will create a better, healthier work-life balance.

Wow. I have been caught in a similar cycle of constantly working yet I am in my 20s. I loved the perspective you gave of the Queen's advice in Proverbs 31. Honestly, I don't want to wait until I am fifty something to enjoy the little blessings all around me. Thank you Alice. Hugs

And yes, I spent way too long trying to be a prov 31 woman - news flash - she does not exist - self care is crucial for survival!

Thank you so much for your encouragement, Ken! I Find it especially easy to be in the garage because I’m self-employed. Do you find that?

Oh my goodness what an odd autocorrect / dictation error! i meant to say i find it easy to be in the grind culture because i work for myself. It's hard for me to turn off. Do you experience that?

Haha!

Absolutely. It's like I spend 50% of my mental energy trying "to figure things out" and the big bummer, is said expenditure of energy rarely if ever yields any clear strategy for me, which in turn spins a good ol' cycle of confusioin and self-judgement. Yep, it's hard for me to turn it off. 😅

You crack me up... as I understand what you're saying! Do you have a thought partner? I had to join a coaching circle to get clarity and bounce ideas with people. It's so hard to work solo because we ENFPs like to externally process (at least I do!) I realized that's part of the reason why I write this newsletter, so I can chat with people about my life LOL I totally hear you - as ENFPs we have a lot of ideas and it's hard to figure out strategic clarity in our lives. I just bought a Panda Planner on Amazon that helps get me organized (when I use it!) and I also find journaling to be super helpful for getting touch w my priorities / values / direction

Yes, I do have a thought partner (had never heard it put that way -- love that!). She's my best friend Bobbi (20+ years we've known each other). We talk almost daily and have full permission to push/challenge each other. I also have one of my sisters as a legit backup.

I typically freeze when processing by myself, or at least, enter over-processing when it's me solo. Processing "out loud" with another opens it up. Kudos to us for our self-awareness, right?! 😊
